Magnetics Bootcamps

1. Basic Bootcamp 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

2. Advanced Bootcamp 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM

The Basic Bootcamp focuses on the fundamentals of Magnetics. If you need to understand magnets better for your job, want to get more from the conference presentations, or are new to the field, the Basic Bootcamp is the place to start. It assumes that one has little or no background in magnetics. The Basic Bootcamp covers the primary magnetic concepts, such as hysteresis, units, ferromagnetism, and how magnets are made.

If something more advanced is what you are looking for, attend the Advanced Bootcamp. It assumes someone has either taken a previous Basic Bootcamp or has some technical understanding of magnetics. After a brief review of the basics, the following topics will be discussed: thermal properties, recycling, magnetizing, self-demagnetization, measurements, case studies, and what’s new on the horizon.
