Debra Bennethum

Director, Critical Minerals & Strategic Supply Chain

Debra Bennethum is a results-driven leader with a strong background in global sourcing, purchasing, and chemical engineering. She currently serves as Vice President of Critical Minerals & Strategic Supply Chain at Energy Fuels Resources, where she is spearheading the development of a U.S.-based Rare Earth Element (REE) business and advancing new commercial partnerships to build a resilient domestic supply chain.

Prior to Energy Fuels, Debra spent more than a decade at General Motors in roles including EV Critical Minerals Manager and Program Purchasing Manager, where she played a pivotal role in securing a resilient EV materials supply chain and managed over $1.5 billion in investment projects. She began her career at BP Corporation as a Process Design Engineer before moving into logistics and supply-chain consulting roles.

Debra holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Michigan State University. She serves on the Advisory Board of 47G—an organization aligning academia, industry, and government to develop talent and accelerate innovation—and was elected to the Board of Directors of the Rare Earth Industry Association (REIA) in 2025.
