Dominic Balistreri

Manager, Maintenance Drive Unit

Dominic Balistreri is the Maintenance Manager in Tesla’s Drive Unit organization at GFTX, with a background spanning equipment engineering, stamping operations, and frontline manufacturing leadership. He brings a hands-on, systems-driven approach to keeping complex, high-volume production equipment running reliably while continuously improving safety, uptime, and maintainability.

Prior to his current role, Dominic served as an Associate Maintenance Manager and Equipment Engineer in Tesla’s Stamping organization, where he developed deep experience in automation, industrial troubleshooting, and root cause problem solving in fast-paced manufacturing environments. His work sits at the intersection of engineering rigor and practical execution, bridging design intent, maintenance strategy, and real-world constraints on the factory floor.

Outside of work, Dominic is a builder at heart. He spends time designing and 3D-printing functional parts, working in CAD , woodworking, experimenting with electronics, and otherwise obsessing over details right down to dialing in the perfect espresso setup. He values precision, curiosity, and solutions that actually work when it counts.
