Ethan Halpren

Ethan Halpren is a Manager on the Strategic Partnerships team at Cyclic Materials. He develops circular partnerships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to recover rare earth elements from end-of-life products and waste streams, enabling their reintegration into domestic magnet production. He is passionate about helping OEMs exercise stewardship of the rare earths throughout their supply chains, enhancing supply security for these critical materials.

Ethan holds a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto, where his research focused on applying machine learning for novel materials discovery. By increasing the domestic supply of light and heavy rare earths, Ethan hopes to contribute to frontier innovation in fields such as mobility, robotics, and healthcare.
